Bookmarks Cleaner does not collect, transmit, or sell any user data.
Bookmarks Cleaner is a Chrome extension that lets you review your existing
bookmarks one at a time and keep or delete each one. This policy explains
exactly what the extension does and does not do with your information.
What data the extension accesses
Your bookmarks. The extension reads your Chrome bookmark
tree to build the review list, opens bookmarked pages for review, and —
only when you click "Reject," "Update," or "Delete empty folders" —
modifies or deletes the bookmarks you choose.
The active review tab's URL. While a review is in
progress, the extension reads the current tab's URL so it can show it
beside the original bookmarked URL and warn you if you have navigated
away. It does not track or log your browsing history.
What data the extension stores
The extension saves a small amount of data locally on your own
device using Chrome's storage.local API:
Cumulative counts of how many bookmarks you have kept and deleted.
The list of bookmark IDs you marked to "review later."
You can clear all of this at any time with the "Reset" button in the
extension. Resetting clears only these counters and marks; it never
deletes bookmarks.
What the extension does NOT do
It does not send any data to us or to any third party.
It does not use remote servers, analytics, or tracking.
It does not collect personal, financial, health, or location data.
It does not sell or transfer any user data.
